What is a Digidown terminal?
Digidown terminals are devices that can be mounted on the wall and will upload driver cards and vehicle files to the relevant places.
If you buy a terminal from TDi it will already be configured to use TDi's uploading method however you can configure it to send to other places.
How do I check where the terminal uploads to?
There is a nice and easy way to check where the terminal uploads to. Please follow the below steps:
- Press the screen (on the terminal) in the bottom left corner
- Click continue (you may need to type 0000 to continue)
On the menu options, you should either have a TDi option or an Upload option. If it says TDI then the data can be set to TDi. If it says upload this means it can be configured to send elsewhere.
To upload to TDi you would need to click into the TDi option and put your Depot ID in (This can be found by going onto Disc-check > settings > depots > click into your depot and it will say depot key).
How do I update the terminal?

How do I reset the terminal upload settings?

Setting TDi as the upload method:
- Open notepad on the computer
- Save an empty notepad file with the name select_tdi to the USB
- Make sure the digidown terminal is powered on and on the home screen
- Plug the USB in
- The upload method should now be set to TDI
To remove the TDi upload method
- Open notepad on the computer
- Save an empty notepad file with the name select_normal_op to the USB
- Make sure the digidown terminal is powered on and on the home screen
- Plug the USB in
- The upload method should now be set to upload rather than TDI
My terminal says connecting not uploading?
If your terminal says connecting rather than uploading this will normally be 1 of 2 things.
The first thing is please make sure the Digidown terminal is connected to the internet. This will normally show on the main screen with a green tick.
If it is connected but still showing as connecting then your terminal will need to be updated. Please follow the instruction above in the "How do I update my Terminal" section.
