Using a card reader

Within Disc-check transfer you will have several options. The first of which is the card reader option. This option is used for any card readers that plug directly into the company through USB.

You will be able to see any card readers you have connected at the bottom of this screen.

Worth a note! 

Your company card doesn't need to be downloaded through a card reader. The company card is used to lock in the vehicle and is plugged into the tacho to download it. The company doesn't store data and therefore will not work in a card reader

Downloading your card

When you plug your card into the card reader it will process the card and upload it to the system. Once it has completed a download it will tell you to remove your card.

Once the card has been downloaded it is safe to remove the card.

My card reader won't download the card

If you are inserting your card and it is not triggering the card to download this would normally mean the card reader has frozen. You can fix this by following the below guide (also see the screenshot below)

1. Close Disc-check transfer by clicking the up arrow in the bottom right corner of your computer (to the left of the time)
2. Right click the DC icon 
3. Click exit
4. Click ok
5. Please unplug your card reader from the computer
6. Open Disc-check transfer again
7. Plug the card reader back into the computer (without a card)
8. Insert the card
