What is a preset
A preset is like using a template when adding a schedule. You can set up the preset so most of options are prefilled. For example an MOT. It will need to be done at the same intervals and normally by the same workshop. Rather than manually adding in the details each time, you can add a preset to prefill the workshop, frequency, etc.
Adding a preset
To set up the preset template you would need to:
- Navigate to settings
- Click on manage preset
- Add preset
- Fill in the details of the preset
- Add the description of the schedule
- Add the name it will appear as
- Set the colour (this colour will be how it appears on the calendar view)
- Add how frequently you want this to appear
- Add in the workshop who will complete the event
- Tick if the event will be a pass or fail (an MOT for example will be a pass or fail whereas a service won't)
- Add in the tolerance (If you book an event in with a tolerance of 3 days before and 3 days after. This means the vehicle can be completed 3 days before and up to 3 days after the event date.
- Click save
An example of a preset will look like this
Using the preset
When creating a schedule the top option will be preset. This will ask if you want to use a preset you have already set up. It will prefill the boxes with the saved preset settings if you do. For example I use the preset in the screenshot above it will look like the below screenshot.
As I have used the template it will say which preset I am using at the top. The only things you would need to add after this is which asset this is for and what is the start / end date.
Amending / deleting a preset
If you need to change a preset this can be done easily.
- Go into settings
- Click Manage presets
- to amend the preset click the pencil option on the right hand side
- Make any changes to the preset and click update
- To delete the preset press the bin on the right
- Click yes, deactivate it
