What is earned Recognition?
Earned Recognition is a voluntary DVSA Scheme for vehicle operators, and is a way to prove to DVSA that your business meets driver and vehicle standards, and in return your vehicles are less likely to be stopped for inspections at the roadside.
How does it work?
Earned recognition records all of your infringements and puts them into different bands depending on how severe they are.
This will break up the year into 4 week periods (13 periods in a year) and give you a KPI infringement rate that you need to stay below during that period.
The earned recognition screen will look like this:
This is broken down into the following sections:
- Period - the P1, P2 etc is the 4 week period the below details are referencing
- The Band - The bands are how severe the infringements are. So band 1 is the lowest and band 4 being the highest
- KPI - KPI is the infringement rate you need to aim to be below for that period
- Unaccounted KM - The amount of unaccounted KMs that were still on the system by the end of the period
- Most Serious infringements - Infringements that hit a trigger point and are classed as the most serious
- Drivers Outstanding - Drivers who were not downloaded during this period
Red warnings
DVSA are not sent this data. They are only notified if you get a red warning on the system. You will get a red warning if:
- You go over the infringement so much the band turns red
- You have 3 yellow warnings in a row (over 3 periods)
How do I enable earned recognition on my account?
