Unaccounted KMs are an important part of compliance and ensuring you don't have drivers in your vehicles without a digital tachograph inserted.
We use the Vehicle Data to detect missing mileage based on the cards inserted and removed from your vehicle during the day, if the mileages don't line up we will ask you to confirm the reason. This could be shunting around the yard or a driver card failure.
To remove the record from your unaccounted screen, you can select one at a time or you can select multiple in one go and mark them all as the same reason (for example if you have lots of 1km shunts).
Investigating Missing Mileage
Before clearing unaccounted km you should ensure you have checked and verified why the distance does not have a card present. To help you with this process we have added tags to each record to guide you.
The tags currently available are:
Missing Data - We believe there is missing data in this data period so we recommend downloading an all VU to fill any gaps.
Potential Missing Data - we have encountered some driving records without a card, but not enough for the mileage, so we again recommend downloading an all VU.
Driving without card - If there is enough driving time to account for the total mileage then we will flag this record as driving without card.
Clearing single records
Clicking the green CONFIRM button on the record will bring you to a confirmation screen, select from the dropdown the reason you would like to clear the record and add any comments.
Clearing Multiple records
If you would like to clear multiple records at the same time (for example multiple shunt records), you can now do this in one step in disc-check.
Click the checkbox next to each record on the left, upon selecting the first the confirm button will be disabled against all records and a new box will be shown at the bottom of your screen.
Clicking the arrow will take you to the confirmation screen, clicking the cross will clear any selected items.
After clicking the arrow, the confirmation screen opens, select the reason for clearing them from the dropdown menu and then enter any comments.
